Abstract

The article is a description of the method of educating sociotherapists and psychotherapists within
the Psychodynamic Study of Sociotherapy and Youth Psychotherapy at the Krakow Psychodynamic
Center. The history of the creation and evolution of interpersonal training as a method
used to prepare professionals working in intensive interpersonal contact is characterized, and
a variant of training used at the Krakow Psychodynamic Center is described. The most important
assumptions of the psychodynamic understanding of the development of the group process are
outlined and examples of its practical application in a training group are presented.
