THE FOUR FACES OF SOCIOTHERAPY
Abstract
Sociotherapy is a form of group work with children, adolescents and adults, which is most often
located in the field of broadly understood psychological and pedagogical help. The literature
review shows that there are various ways of using group forms of work, not only with children
and adolescents at risk of social pathology, social exclusion, but also with adults. Sociotherapy is
then understood as an element supporting the processes of psychiatric treatment, resocialization
work or even wide-ranging social campaigns. The article indicates the possibility of a broad look
at contemporary sociotherapy, suggesting various possibilities of its application.
