Abstract

Drama is a method of working with groups that finds application in various contexts, ranging
from therapeutic to educational. It allows participants to explore a variety of topics, group processes,
and their own experiences in an engaging, experiential manner. Therefore, in education,
it can be used to address so-called difficult topics (such as exclusion, addiction prevention, etc.).
The purpose of this text is to analyze the course “Drama Method for Social Inclusion in Teaching
Practices,” designed for international students studying at Adam Mickiewicz University in
Poznań, who are pre-service teachers. The course equips participants with the competencies to
use educational drama in addressing the issues of social exclusion and inclusion in schools, and
it can also serve as an inspiration in socio-therapeutic work.
